Our Launch Roadmap: What to Expect Over the Next 90 Days
What's shipping, when, and how to follow along as Sombra heads toward its full App Store launch.

Here’s what’s coming over the next few months, so you know exactly what to expect. We’d rather under-promise here than publish a roadmap we quietly miss, so treat the exact timing as directional and the milestones themselves as the real commitment.
This month
- App Store review: submitted, pending approval.
- Website and blog live: done, you’re reading it.
Launch week
- Public launch on the App Store
- Instagram and TikTok announcement
- First blog post recap of what shipped in v1
First 90 days
- Expanded challenge library: more walk, run, and workout variety beyond the initial set, so the consequence side of Sombra doesn’t get repetitive for people using it every day.
- Android development begins: same tracking, same challenges, a different OS to build against. Screen Time’s on-device APIs don’t exist on Android, so this is a real rebuild, not a port.
What we’re intentionally not rushing
A couple of things are on the list but not on this 90-day roadmap, on purpose: a web dashboard, and social or leaderboard features. Both get asked for, and both need to be built without undermining the on-device privacy model Sombra is built on, so they’re getting more time rather than a rushed v1.
How to follow along
The fastest ways to stay in the loop:
- Follow along on Instagram and TikTok for day-to-day updates. EDIT ME: add real links once accounts are live.
- Check back on this blog for deeper dives on features as they ship.
- Get Sombra directly. The app itself will tell you about updates as they land.
Thanks for being here early. It means a lot.
